I’m Anne Marie, a Chicago based interior designer.
As an interior designer, my approach starts with taking the time to understand my clients’ unique needs, values, and dreams.
Through a process of collaboration and inspiration, I create cohesive plans and design solutions that elevate this vision and feel perfectly suited to client needs. My clients feel known and supported at every step and every decision along the way.
Over the past decade, it's been my privilege to help clients create timeless and inspirational spaces across a wide range of projects: from design consultations, to small renovations, and comprehensive home transformations.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, I grew up in a family where design and creativity runs deep.
My father co-owned an architectural firm with my uncles, which I visited frequently. From an early age, their hand drawings, drafting tables, and tools captivated me.
This early exposure planted a seed for curiosity, creativity, and design which eventually led me to study architecture at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). During my studies, I developed a deep interest in interior design which I pursued further with specialty courses at Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy.
In my early career I gained valuable experience working as an architectural drafter and later collaborated with renowned interior designer Patricia Alvarez, whose mentorship profoundly influenced my professional growth. I launched my own interior design firm where I designed interiors, managed projects, and built lasting relationships with clients.
In 2012, I married a Chicago native and we relocated to the Oak Park area. Years earlier, before meeting my husband, I had visited Oak Park and fell in love with its beautiful architecture and charm.
ANMA Design Studio was born in 2015, marking an exciting new chapter in my career.
Today, ANMA Design Studio serves clients in Chicago, Oak Park, River Forest, and surrounding areas.
